Hello lovely mummies and daddies, hope all is well for you and your families….

This is Little Possibilities news article regarding classes and covid19 updates for Zen Babies and Creative Tots. Please take the time to read.

LOCAL BABY AND TODDLER SESSIONS WILL BE BACK

AND BETTER THAN EVER!

Many parents have been left isolated with young children over the past few months.

In Shevington, baby and toddler classes are being run for local families online and there are plans to resume regular classes soon.

Gail Charnock, the founder of Little Possibilities, is preparing to bring back some of her popular groups to the village in the coming months and is currently making sure groups will be safe for families in light of new coronavirus safety guidance.
For now, her online classes are proving a hit with local parents.

Gail, a former childcare practitioner at a nursery in the village, had been running the popular Creative Tots, Shevington Toddlers and Zen Babies groups up until the coronavirus lockdown.

She is a qualified baby massage and yoga practitioner and runs sessions for parents and carers who want to learn the calming techniques.

The grandmother-of-one said: I’ve loved running the classes in the village. Everyone knows each other, we’re like a big family!

The lockdown has meant we’ve all missed each other. My classes are a great way for parents and carers to meet new people and to bond with their children.

Baby massage is a soothing and calm experience for parent and babies.

Massage can soothe your baby and help them to sleep – It has many added benefits for your baby, including improving weight gain, aiding digestion, improving circulation, and easing teething pain.

Baby yoga ties in with these benefits and much more, creating a loving, calming environment for parents and babies to have quality bonding time.

I am also going to launch toddler yoga classes in Shevington soon, which will be suitable for children from when they are standing, right up to Reception age.

I don’t expect toddlers to stay focused for the whole session so there will be lots of breaks for playtime in between stretches.

Gail also makes themed resource packs which can be used at home to encourage creativity and sensory development.

When the sessions in Shevington begin, social distancing and hygiene will be of paramount importance, so Gail is preparing to introduce new measures which will mean families can meet and play safely.

These include holding smaller group sessions and following all the recommended coronavirus safeguarding guidelines.

Gail, who also runs Shevington Youth Club sessions for older children and is a volunteer at the local food bank, added:I’m looking forward to seeing all our families again, as well as meeting new parents and carers. Although things will change in terms of our routines and safety measures, our groups will be just as much fun for adults and their children.
